- Purpose:
To establish internal control regarding the use of safes and vaults
- Procedure:
- All safes and vaults when first opened at the start of a work day will only be opened in the presence of two employees.
- Vaults and safes will not be opened during non-duty hours without the specific permission of the president, vice president for administrative services, or controller.
A security guard must be present when any safe or vault is opened during non-duty hours.
- The names of all individuals in possession of the combination of a safe or vault shall be posted on the inside of the door to that safe or vault.
- Whenever an individual in possession of the combination of a safe or vault leaves the employment of South Florida State College, the combination of that vault or safe shall be immediately changed.
